Created in the summer of '98, BottleCap.net originally went online under the name "Bottle Caps Online." The idea from the very beginning was to have a database of all the bottle caps available. Some are from the grocery store, others from the grass in the park, and some are from professional collections. The information about each cap (such as colour, description, etc) is provided to make the database searchable. There are currently three databases, and work is being done to find a way to search the caps.
